Few instruments sound as irresistible as a roaring hammond organ, let alone two hammond organs, played by the two top organists Carlo de Wijs and Arno Krijger. Together with alto saxophonist Paul van Kemenade, trumpet player Jeroen Doomernik and drummer Chris Strik, they formed the group Hammond Sandwich in 2015. Uncomplicated and groovy soul jazz with catchy themes, ripping solos and an inexhaustible drive.
